| Only one item per passenger is allowed through the airport search point with a maximum size of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (note: the re-sealable bag must be able to fit within the cabin bag). Additional items, for example hand bags, will be required to fit inside the one permitted item of carry on baggage. |

| Outsize Items |
| |
All items of luggage which do not fit in the permitted cabin baggage size (maximum length 56 cm, width of 45 cm and depth of 25 cm) must be checked in to be placed in the aircraft hold.
An exception to this is musical instruments, these are allowed on the craft as a second item of hand baggage. It is advisable to check with your airline before travelling if any special arrangements need to be made. |

| Quantities For Liquid Goods |

| There are certain liquids now allowed by Blackpool security in a passenger's hand luggage. These are listed below, along with the permitted quantities. |
| |
| Allowed liquids have to be carried in quantities no greater than 100ml, and carried in separate containers. |
| |
| Each 100ml containers have to be carried in a transparent, re-sealable plastic bag, no bigger than 1 litre in capacity (approximately 20cms x 20cms). Each passenger may carry only one of these bags of liquids. |

Here is an example of the allowed bag, containing the separate 100ml containers of liquids. |

| |
| Any liquids that cannot fit inside the bag will have to be packed in the passenger's main luggage. |

| Permitted liquids include: |
| |
- Water, soup, syrups and other such food and drink liquids
- Lotions, Creams, oils and perfumes
- Spray cans such as spray deodorants and shaving foam
- Toothpastes
- Shower and hair gels

| Liquid Baby Food |
| |
| Flying with baby foods - please be advised that baby foods and sterilised water are permitted in larger quantities above the 100ml limit but only sufficient for the journey. These liquids will be subject to a taste test at airport security. |

| Essential Liquid Medicines |
| |
| Flying with medicines - please be advised that it is permitted to take essential medicines for the duration of your trip but they will be subject to the following authentications. You must obtain written permission from the airline and the airport. You should also have documentation from a qualified medical professional such as your GP or consultant. |

| Hand Luggage Size |
| |
| Only one piece of hand luggage is allowed to be carried by each passenger. This piece of luggage must be no bigger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. |

| In addition, pushchairs and walking aids etc. are allowed. |
| |
| Laptop PCs and Electrical Items |
| |
Laptop computers, and other such large electrical items (e.g. a large hairdryer), that are being carried in hand luggage need to be removed and screened separately at the security points.
Do note that if you are carrying a laptop in a PC bag then this will count as your one piece of authorised hand luggage. |

| Oversized Items |
| |
| Security at Blackpool Airport allows for certain oversized items such as musical instruments allowed onto the aircraft cabin in addition to the one piece of allowed hand luggage. However, if the item is especially big then passengers should contact their airline before travel in case an addition airline seat will need to be purchased. |
